Latvian hostages "alive and well"

NYALA - The three Latvian helicopter pilots kidnapped in the Darfur region of Sudan are alive and well, national news agency LETA reported.

Their families have already been informed of the news.

The Russian-speaking pilots, who had been emplyed by the UN World Food Program through the Latvia-based "GM Helicopters", were kidnapped from a minibus in the city of Nyala last week.
