RIGA - Latvian Prime Minister and winner of the general elections earlier this month Valdis Dombrovskis has said that he will work with four parties to try to form a coalition as negotiations with the president enter their first day.

The prime minister said he will attempt to form a new coalition made up of Unity, Greens/Farmers Union, Harmony Center and All For Latvia!-For Fatherland and Freedom/LNNK.

The prime minister, who leads the "Unity" voting block, said he would wait to hear responses from the four parties over their willingness to participate before taking further action.
