Dzintari Concert Hall (Jurmala): Ballet and Jurmala share a long history, and since the 1970s, August is the month reserved for the popular festival “Ballet Stars in Jurmala.” Revived in 1999, it is a showcase for top notch principal dancers from all over the world. The ballet festival tradition in Jurmala was revived by artistic director Aivars Leimanis, who has headed each festival since 1999. Fontaine Palace (Liepaja): Featuring foreign and local music groups, who have previously appeared in the “Fontaine Palace” club and earned acclaim both from the audience and club owner Louie Fontaine.
