The Estonia-based subsidiary of ABB, the world’s largest power grid construction company, plans to increase its employee headcount as demand for wind power recovers, reports LETA. The division currently employs more than 900 persons, and will boost this number by 100 to meet the increasing demand, the company said. “The markets are gradually recovering,” said Bo Henriksson, head of ABB Baltic operations, adding that “This includes the global wind market, which is especially important to us.” The ABB plant near Tallinn is the company’s largest for wind generators and one of the largest exporters in Estonia. It cut production by a fifth last year because of a drop in sales.
