VILNIUS - Pirates have demanded a ransom of an undisclosed amount for the release of one Lithuanian and three Russian sailors that were kidnapped off the coast of west Africa earlier last week.
AFP reported that the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), Nigeria's main armed militant group, denied involvement but reported that the men are safe and healthy.
The Russian embassy in Nigeria is handling the case.
