Two majors share market dominance

TALLINN - According to a brand study of the Estonian Tele2 mobile communications operator, carried out by TNS Emor, EMT and Tele2 led the Estonian mobile communication market as of the end of Q4 2009, with their market shares respectively at 37 percent and 33 percent. The rest of the market is divided among operators Elisa, Diil and TeleYks, which control market shares of respectively 20, 8 and 2 percent.Board Chairman of Tele2, Toomas Tiivel, stated that Tele2 won more than 20,000 clients from its competitors due to number portability.
