Prison inmates to be billed for electricity

VILNIUS - Lithuanian prisoners will soon have to pay for their electricity usage.

As of next week, inmates will have to pay 6 litas per month to operate a television set and 2 litas per month for a gaming console.

Devices that use less than 10 watts of power - this includes most radios - will not be affected by the new regulation.
