Winter snowiest in century for Riga

RIGA - Latvia's capital city has been inundated by snow, with the pile up now reaching the largest amount in 100 years.

An average of 55 centimeters is piled up in the city. This is rivaled only by the 1909 record of 57 centimeters.

The average snow cover depth in the whole country stands at 36 centimeters.
