Tourism industry tries to withstand the test of crisis

VILNIUS - Lithuanian tourists travel mostly by plane. According to the Lithuanian statistics department, in 2009, 1.9 million people traveled via Lithuanian airports. It is 26.8 percent less than in 2008. This gives some picture about the drop in travel numbers. Anyway, Lithuanians are crazy about travel. Travel is one of the last things which they are ready to refuse in times of crisis.The beginning of 2010 brought some bad news for small and single-owner firms.
