Newspaper ad sales plummet in Estonia

TALLINN - Newspapers in Estonia have suffered an average 42 percent drop in advertising, the Newspaper's Association reported.

Overall last year sales fell by more than 30 percent for every major paper in the country. In total, newpapre advertising in the country fell to just 308 million kroons.

The number of online ads also decreased, but not as drastically. Internet advertising fell by an average of 21 percent, with the total now at just over 80 million kroons.
