RIGA - Latvian Finance Minister Einars Repse has said that he will push for the sacking of Dzintars Jakans, the currently suspended head of the State Revenue Service.

Repse suspended Jakans in late October after he had "deliberately not executed Repse's orders" within the set time. In total, three disciplinary cases were opened against Jakans, which were then combined into one.

A special investigative disciplinary commission will now asses the case before a final decision is made.
