Tallinn Airport gains its fame with technological solutions

TALLINN - Tallinn has a well functioning seaport serving more than 7.2 million passengers last year. Tallinn Airport on the other hand aims to handle 2.5 million passengers a year, having served approximately 1.8 million passengers in 2008. This year has witnessed a 26 percent decrease in air-passengers y-o-y due to the general economic downturn, of approximately 15 percent, in Estonia in 2009. In comparison, Helsinki’s Vantaa Airport has witnessed a 10 percent fall with an expected 6 percent economic downturn, and Vilnius’ airport has dropped 40 percent with the economy fall...
