VILNIUS - From the 15th to the 22nd of October 6800 newunemployed people and 1149 new vacancies were registered in the laborregistry office. In the same period the labor registry office hashelped 2600 unemployed to obtain employment.
1100 unemployed were involved in the active policy methods ofemployment promotion, the majority of them were sent to public worksand qualification courses.
According to the data on the 22nd of October, 2009, inLithuania there are 230 800 unemployed, and 1056 open vacancies inthe labor registry office.
