Rent prices continue to fall

VILNIUS - The number of the rent-able apartments is continuing to grow, and the prices decrease. In Vilnius and Klaipeda the rent prices have fallen on 40%, compared to the prices in year 2008, and have halved in Kaunas.

As always, the price-cutting was forced by the growth of the amount of offers. In Vilnius about 4700 object are rent-able, in Kaunas 's 400, in Klaipeda 's 500. Compared to the October of 2007, five times more objects are offered on the market, as for Kaunas and Klaipeda, this number is more then ten times bigger now.

Right now, the rent in Vilnius varies from 500 to 800 lits (141 's 227 euros ) for a one-room apartment and, from 600 to 1200 lits (170 's 340 euros) for a two-room apartment. In Klaipeda a one-room apartment can be rented for a price from 500 to 700 lits (141 's 198 euros) and for a two bedroom apartment you will pay about 800 (226 euros). In Kaunas you can find a one-room place for 370 lits (104 euros), and a two-room apartment for 700 (198 euros).
