RIGA 's As reported by The State Fire Department, over 30 today emergency call there made, regarding strong wind flows, mostly in Riga and Tukums, still, there were calls from over cities, such as Jurmala, Dobele and Ogre.
Mainly the wind had broken trees and roof covering. In Riga the roof of the public transport stop on the Zemitana bridge was tear off.
In Kolka the speed of the wind flows has risen up to 24 m/sec, in Ventspils, Dagde, Dobele and Mersragse 's 22 m/sec, in Pavilosta and Saldus 's 21 m/sec, in Riga 's 19 m/sec.
The authorities have reminded, that strong wind flows could be the cause of electricity failures, and ask the population to keep lighter, just in case.
