VILNIUS- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania informs that the sailorswho had been kidnapped in Nigeria from the Lithuanian-flagged shipSaturnas were liberated today. They all are alive and healthy.
Currently, the members of the crew are being questioned by Nigerianofficials.
The sailors will return to their homes after the medicalexamination, in the nearest future.
Five sailors from the ship, which is owned by the Limarko ShippingCompany, were kidnapped on 3 August. The assault took place on theEscravos River Road off the coast of Nigeria.
