On July 21 everyone who gathered at the hotel Pegasa Pils, in Dzintari, was witness to a new tradition within the International Contest of young pop music singers "New Wave."
In the presence of ambassadors of the 12 countries participating in the "New Wave" festival, contestants sculptured a unique bas-relief composition, of which the motif is a symbol of the International Contest.
The idea of creating the bas-relief belongs to a group of Latvian artists, and to the organizers of the event. The action is carried out jointly with the international peacekeeping initiative THE CHALICE of PEACE.

The tradition of manufacturing such bas-reliefs was established by the UNESCO famous "World Cup," where the famous and popular group, representatives from different countries and ambassadors of those countries all together produce sculptural compositions, conveying the warmth of their hands and hearts.
On the basis of established bas-relief, there will be cast in bronze a plate for the subsequent installation in the "Dzintari Concert Hall" during the opening day of the competition and the grand opening of the winner's alley, thereby maintaining the tradition of another world of memorable stars.
In the future, thumbnails of this bas-relief will be cast and will be presented at an auction at a special charity ball. All the earnings will be redeployed in support of one of the orphanages in Latvia.
