Illegal border crossings on the rise

TALLINN- Ulle Vaina,chief of counter illegal migration department of Estonia has announced the prediction that illegalborder crossings may continue to grow. Already this year, the guards have found34 border transgressions.

Vainaexplained that Estonia will likely be a transit countrythrough which people try to get to other European countries in the Schengenzone.  

Olari Valtin, ofthe Security Police said that immigrants may become a security threat shouldthey start to form extremist community groups.  He said that the practiceof several countries' special services has shown that 1-2 percent of European Muslimcommunities are linked with extremist organizations or have similar mentality.
