Illegal border crossings on the rise

TALLINN- Ulle Vaina, chief of counter illegal migration department of Estonia has announced the prediction that illegal border crossings may continue to grow. Already this year, the guards have found 34 border transgressions.

Vaina explained that Estonia will likely be a transit country through which people try to get to other European countries in the Schengen zone.  

Olari Valtin, of the Security Police said that immigrants may become a security threat should they start to form extremist community groups.  He said that the practice of several countries' special services has shown that 1-2 percent of European Muslim communities are linked with extremist organizations or have similar mentality.
