VILNIUS-Lithuania marked International Child Protection Day with the ninth annual baby crawling contest in Vilnius. Over 25 babies participated in a nearly 20 foot long race crawling after dangling keys, cell phones and parents hands.

The babies were rewarded with bottles of milk for finishing.

The winner of the event received prizes mostly bigger than the winner himself, including baby gifts and a suitcase.

The event brought out many viewers and garnered international attention, as another light hearted Baltic event, similar to the parade of blonds in Latvia, lifted people's spirits.
