Latvian-based food producer Velte eko is planning to start exporting to Scandinavia and Germany as well as other European Union countries, the company told LETA.Velte eko has also expanded its cucumber production business as well as modernized other production lines. Velte eko production manager Vladimirs Spiconoks said that besides growing vegetables, the company buys produce from local farmers, thus supporting local economies. The company was established in 1996. Its plant in Tukums employees about 30 workers.
