Eighty percent of Lithuanians fincances deteriorating

VILNIUS- A recent survey revealed that only one percent of people in Lithuania think that the economic situation has improved. Nine percent reported not noticing any changes in the last two months.

The survey, conducted by public opinion company Baltijos Tyrimai, peoples opinion of the Lithuanian economy is unchanged from February 2009.

These results were compared to a year ago, March 2008, when ten percent of people responded that the situation was improving. In the last year, 28 percent more respondents said that the economic situation is worsening.

The most staggering numbers of the survey came with the question "Do you think your household financial situation has deteriorated recently?" About 80 percent of respondents claimed deterioration.
