TALLINN's A recent poll suggests that Estonian consumers are more dissatisfied with the quality of goods and services they buy than other Baltic nations. The poll was conducted by the European Performance Satisfaction Index.

The survey shows that the consumer satisfaction index in Estonia was the lowest in the Baltics in 2008 standing at 65.1 points. In Lithuania the figure was 69.5 points and in Latvia 74.9 points.

Results of the poll also show that consumer satisfaction levels in the Baltic states slipped to the lowest point in five years in 2008. In 2007, the EPSI reached 69.8 points in Estonia, 73.7 points in Latvia and 78.2 points in Lithuania.

While consumer satisfaction has decreased in most of the 11 countries included in the survey, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Russia were the only exceptions showing improved consumer satisfaction.
