Film competition to comemorate Baltic Way

TALLINN- The Tallinn city council has announced a competition for the submission of ideas for a film commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Baltic Way. The competition will be open to the public and production of the film will be completed in August.

The deputy mayor of Tallinn Kaia Jappinen said that the film will be screened at the 2009 Awakening Era film festival as well as aired on national television. The deputy mayor said that all types of films will be allowed, and recommended the use of archival materials and footage.   

The Tallinncity council announced the deadline for completion of the film by August 15 The reward for the winner of the competition is 250,000 kroons (16,000 euro).
