Lithuanian to coach Greek national basketball team

VILNIUS - Lithuania's Jonas Kazlauskas has been chosen as the new head coach of the Greek national basketball team. He will start his duties in the new post on Monday.

Kazlauskas, 54, is currently finalizing details of the contract with top executives of the Greek basketball federation in Athens.

"We have agreed on the small details and they are now preparing the contract," Kazlauskas told the Baltic News Service on Thursday.

"I will probably sign the contract for a year, although they want me to stay for longer. Everything will be cleared up Monday during an official presentation when they present me to the society," the coach said.
