VILNIUS- In addition to the 15 injured during the Jan. 16 riotsin Lithuania,82 persons were detained by police, many of them armed.

Police reportedly found crowbars, Molotovcocktails and knifes among those detained.

 The police had used tear gas to control the crowds as wellas rubber bullets, causing some of the days injuries.

 Thedamage done to the Seimas parliament building is an estimated 2 million Litas (approx. 580,000 euro)
