TALLINN - According to official statistics, the rubber and plastic products industry in Estonia accounts for only 4.6 percent of the whole manufacturing sector. However, this is one of the oldest modern industries in Estonia 's it started to develop back in 1920.By the 1950s, various applications of thermoplastic materials were developed and the industry saw constant growth up until the notorious recession in 1992.
