First woman to urinate on Freedom Monument caught

RIGA- The first woman, a Norwegian citizen, has been fined for urinating on the Freedom Monument in Riga. State Police has imposed a 200 lats (284 euro) fine on the Norwegian youth for urinating by the Freedom Monument in Riga.

Riga Regional Police Department spokeswoman Zane Berzina told reporters that municipal police video surveillance department officers noticed a woman urinating by the Freedom Monument at 5:26 a.m. on Nov. 2.

The young woman explained that she has used alcohol and was not able to control her actions. She was imposed a fine of 200 lats and released.

Several foreign citizens, mainly from the UK, have been detained urinating by the Freedom Monument in the past years.
