First woman to urinate on Freedom Monument caught

RIGA- The first woman, a Norwegian citizen, has beenfined for urinating on the Freedom Monument in Riga. State Police has imposed a200 lats (284 euro) fine on the Norwegian youth for urinating by the FreedomMonument in Riga.

Riga Regional Police Department spokeswoman Zane Berzina told reporters that municipal police videosurveillance department officers noticed a woman urinating by the FreedomMonument at 5:26 a.m. on Nov. 2.

The young woman explained that she has used alcohol and was not able tocontrol her actions. She was imposed a fine of 200 lats and released.

Several foreign citizens, mainly from the UK, have been detained urinatingby the Freedom Monument in the past years.
