Red Army soldiers reburied

TALLINN - The remains of 39 soldiers form the Red Army have been reburied at Estonia's Sinimae, the daily Ohtuleht reported.

Only three of the soldiers, the remains of whom were found at former battlefield sites, have been identified.

The military history club Poisk will also hand over to the German War Graves Commission remains of 12 German soldiers.

The club found the soldier remains from the territory of the Vaivara and Illuka rural communities last year.

Half the remains of the German soldiers exhumed have also been identified.

The remains of 14 men who probably fought on the German side in World War II were recently exhumed in Avinurme inEstonia's East-Viru County.
