In addition, Estonia is helping Georgia in three different ways, Foreign Minister Urmas Paet said at a press conference. Estonia is paying the expenses of two Estonian monitors on the European Union mission to Georgia, as well as those of an observer representing the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. A third humanitarian relief consignment, primarily aiding children and young mothers, will soon be dispatched to Georgia.Since Russia's incursion into the Caucasus country, two aid shipments containing nearly 5 million kroons worth of rescue and medical supplies, ambulance equipment, blankets, medicines, food, children's clothes, toys, drawing supplies, disinfectants and other supplies have already been sent from Estonia to Georgia. All the outlays were covered by the 10 million kroons appropriated from the reserve fund by the government on Aug. 14. Estonia also plans to make a contribution at the Georgia donors' conference to be held in Brussels on Oct. 22.
