By means of the strike higher education employees will demand for higher education schools to be compensated for the funds lost by relieving students in state financed slots from paying partial tuition.
The association is also demanding to raise wages for operating personnel in higher education and include this employee group into a long-term wage raising program in 2009-2011.
The association notes that should the government and ministry fail to satisfy the said demands by Oct. 30, it retains its right to organize a widespread and long-term strike of higher education employees.
