TALLINN - Two Estonian military pilots are set to receive special training as part of a wider initiative to increase the number of helicopters capable of conducting peacekeeping operations.
Estonian Defense Minister Jaak Aaviksoo told the Baltic News Service that the pilots would be deployed on NATO or EU missions after receiving the training.
The pilots stand to receive flexible training so that they will be able to pilot attack and transport helicopters alike.Two military pilots from Estonia are due to receive training as part of the Franco-British initiative aimed at plugging a chronic shortage of helicopters able to conduct peacekeeping missions.
