The government will liquidate the Integration ministry and the EU fund absorption ministry but keep the e-affairs ministry, Prime Minister Ivars Godmanis said after an informal coalition meeting on Monday.
"Large governmental reorganization does not need to be performed at present, as the budget situation is difficult - it has to be adopted and fulfillment thereof attempted," the prime minister said.
It is still not clear which full-fledged ministries will take up the duties of the liquidated special affairs ministries.
