TALLINN - TheEstonian Public Prosecutor's Office has charged three young men withorchestrating a plot to kidnap the daughter of the owner of OlympicCasino.
Viljar Kangus, 22, Ardo Tammissaar, 22, and Rauno Kaur, 19, are accused of organizingan attempt to kidnap Ines Karu, daughter of Olympic Casino Owner Armin Karu.
The three men had allegedly planned to demand a 15 million euro ransom forthe girl. They face up to 12 years in jail if convicted.
The police were in control of the situation at all stages and thebusinessman and his family never came into real danger, police representatives said.
Ines Karu, who is 23 according to her personal Web site, isa social celebrity who has frequently appeared on entertainment shows on the TVand has gathered fame as a belly dancer.
