VILNIUS - A Lithuanian base in Afghanistan's Ghor province has returned to normal operations following a Tuesday night missile attack.

"The situation has normalized at this time, the heightened preparation is recalled and the regular routine is in place. Soldiers are implementing daily, standard procedures," Representative of the Joint Staff of Lithuania's Armed Forces Gintaras Jurciukonis told the Baltic News Service.

A missile was fired at the Lithuanianbase camp at approximately 18:15 p.m.local time. The explosion set on a fire a portable depository. Nobody in the camp was injured during the incident.

An investigation is currently underway to determine if the missile had been specifically targeted at the Lithuanian camp.
