Dinamo goalie attacked

RIGA - Dinamo Riga goalie Edgars Masalskis has been hospitalized after he was attacked in Riga's OldTown on Monday night.

The hockey player was returning home after meeting the rest of the team for dinner when he was attacked by five or six people. He has reportedly suffered a broken ankle and will not be able to return to play for at least a few months.

Police have obtained a video of the attack, but are not releasing details about the investigation.
