Human traffickers arrested at Latvian border

RIGA - The National Border Guard has arrested a human trafficking gang in the eastern Latvian town of Ludza.

The gang was caught after illegally transporting a group of Chinese nationals into the country. The immigrants were transported through Russiaand entered the country without valid visas or residence permits.

The Border Guard arrested four members of the gang and an undisclosed number of trafficked people. 

Police also found illegally stored ammunition while raiding the home of one of the gang members.
