Human traffickers arrested at Latvian border

RIGA - The National Border Guard has arrested a human trafficking gangin the eastern Latvian town of Ludza.

The gang was caught after illegally transporting a group ofChinese nationals into the country. The immigrants were transported through Russiaand entered the country without valid visas or residence permits.

The Border Guard arrested four members of the gang and anundisclosed number of trafficked people. 

Police also found illegally stored ammunition while raidingthe home of one of the gang members.
