TALLINN -After two years of preparatory work, Estonian fashion company Baltika is to start supplying leading European department store chain Peek&Cloppenburg.

The fashion retail chain has signed up for deliveries of the women's collection of Baltika's Mosaic brand which will go on sale in its stores this winter. Peek&Cloppenburg is the largest department store chain in Germany comprisingover 80 outlets, plus other branches in Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.Baltika will ship its first orders in November of this year.

Next year will be a 'test period' during which the sales of the collection and the quality of the products and deliveries will be monitored. During the test period the Mosaic collection will be included in 13 department stores in five countries. Presently, Baltika's main wholesale partners are located in the Baltic countries, Russia and Finland, so expansion into western Europe marks a significant step forward for the company.
