Old clothes for Georgia

VILNIUS - The Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that it is to collect second-hand clothes as part of its relief effort in Georgia.

An August 14 statement said "the humanitarian situation continues to worsen. Residents of Lithuania and localcompanies that are producing and trading in clothing are kindly invitedto give clothes to charity for the suffering people of Georgia. Theassistance campaign is coordinated by the Democracy and DevelopmentAssistance Fund."
 
From 14 August clothes are being collected in the premises of the EasternEurope Studies Centre on D. Poškos Street 59, in Vilnius, from 09.00 until 20:00. Collectors will also be at the EasternEurope Studies Centre this weekend. It isplanned to send the collected charity to Georgia next week.

Donated clothes have to be clean and "not worn out, or new". Clothes for males, females and children have to be packed separately.
