PARNU- A small single engine plane crashed in the city of Parnu on July 9, killing one.
Local media reported that the plane, a Piper 28, registered in Sweden, was approaching the airport in Parnu to land, when it crashed and went up in flames.
Viktor Saaremets, aspokesman for the West-Estonian rescue center, told the Baltic NewsService the aircraft crashed into a small forest about 500 metersfrom the Parnu airport building.
As of yet no explanation has been given as to the fault of the crash. The Swedish plane crashed around 15:00 Estonian time, killing the pilot. No word on any other survivors.
