ASTANA - Estonia'sformer President Arnold Ruutel is in Kazakhstandiscussed development of bilateral economic relations with President NursultanNazarbayev and suggested that Kazakh businesspeople use Estoniaas a point of transit.
"Estonia has modern ports and we can offer transit services to Kazakhstan," Ruutel said.
Ruutel told reporters after the meeting today that hebelieves Kazakh businesspeople have a large interest in transporting oil,grain, metal and other goods through Estonia,the Kazinform news agency reported.
He also noted that that Estonian construction companies are interested in projects in theKazakh capital Astana.
