FERRIES - Coping with a 'booze cruise'

RIGA - Though there are many different sorts of passenger ferries in the Baltic states, the largest and grandest by far are those which make their way across the Baltic Sea to Scandinavia.Those ferries are more than just  transportation. They are in direct competition with low cost airlines like Ryan Air, so they have to offer something which planes cannot, namely, pleasure, "There is a difference in going by ship instead of by plane, [the ferries] are for entertainment and for drinking," a Tallink employee told The Baltic Times.
