TALLINN - Police in Estonia have re-launched a web page established after the Bronze Soldier riots of late April in order to help identify lawbreakers.

"We've got about a hundred photographs left by today showing individuals whose identification is absolutely necessary," said Eerik Heldna, whoi is in charge of criminal investigations for the North Prefecture.

Between the end of April and early June members of the public helped to identify nearly 200 participants in the riots from 800 photographs put up on the Internet. Around 800 relevant leads were received regarding the persons depicted in the photos.

The group of investigators dealing with the April riots is still handling 33 criminal cases, of which 20 are being actively worked on. In all there are 205 suspects.

Photos taken in central Tallinn during the April riots can be viewed on the police web page at http://tuvasta.politsei.ee. The site is in Estonian and English.
