Last chance for ICT nominees

STOCKHOLM - Organisers of the Baltic Challenge Award 2007 are reminding companies that it's not too late to enter this year's competition and scoop one of the 5,000 euro prizes on offer.

The Baltic Challenge is open to Information and Communication Technology companies. Leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators and producers of ICT products and services from both public and private sectors are invited to showcase their ideas and products to improve working routines in public administration, educational institutions, businesses and among the general public.

The first Baltic Challenge Award was celebrated during a reception at the House of Blackheads in Riga, on August 24, 2006.

The Baltic Challenge Award 2007 invites applicants from all Baltic Sea countries - Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Sweden, plus Belarus, Norway and Ukraine. The online application form is open at www.balticchallenge.net until Sep. 25.

Last year's winners included the Vilnius e-Municipality, which provides more than 200 different services using e- technology.
