KLAIPEDA - In the second incident of its kind within the space of a few days, a mushroom picker has discovered something unexpected hidden deep in the woods.
On Sep. 7, a Latvian fungus fan made headlines by unearthing an expensive Maserati sports car hidden in the forest outside Riga.
Then on Sep. 9, a Lithuanian forager discovered a slightly less desirable prize 's a cache of 412 Soviet-era artillery shells in Klaipeda district.
Lithuania's Defense Ministry reported that the explosives were being made safe by army specialists and that the work would likely take until the evening of Sep. 10.
