EDINBURGH - Latvia is to open an Honorary Consulate in the Scottish capital.
Indulis Berzins, the Latvian Ambassador to the United Kingdom will greet representatives of the Scottish parliament, government, business community and public at a reception to mark the opening on Aug. 30.
John McGregor, a Scottish businessman, will take up the office of Honorary Consul of Latvia in Scotland, the first since the restoration of Latvia's sovereignty.
From Oct 01, the Honorary Consulate will be located at 17 Rutland Street, Edinburgh EH1, Scotland.
