BREAD - Vilniaus Duona: the Baltics' largest bakery

VILNIUS - Next to Vilniaus Duona's factories along Savanoriu avenue, a constant flow of people stroll in and out of a small bakery where a basketful of freshly baked Bociu Duona loaves are waiting for eager customers. They're Jonas Paliukas' favorite. "It is sweet, acidic and it's fresh. I always buy the same one," said Paliukas. Bociu Duona is only one of over 70 different products made by Vilniaus Duona, the king of all bread companies in the Baltic states, and the largest and oldest bakery in Lithuania.
