Riga landmark gets stamped

STRALSUND 's Riga's iconic House ofthe Blackheads features on a new set of commemorative stamps producedin collaboration with UNESCO and the Latvian postal service.

Latvia's Ambassador to Germany, DrMartins Virsis, participated in a launch event for the stamps, whichcelebrate the shared Hanseatic heritage of Latvia and Germany and aretitled UNESCO World Cultural Heritage 's Riga, Stralsund, Wismar.

The stamps show images of the House ofthe Blackheads in Riga, Stralsund Town Hall, and St George's Churchin Wismar.

The limited edition will be availableto buy from 12 July in post offices throughout Latvia and Germany.
