Pabriks and Thai Ambassador welcome development of tourism

RIGA - Latvian Foreign Minister Artis Pabriks on Feb. 26 met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Latvia, Chitriya Pinthong, who was in Latvia on a farewell visit. Both officials expressed their appreciation of the development of tourism between both countries, and the building of contacts between the Latvian and Thai people.
The Latvian Foreign Minister invited Thailand to consider the introduction of eased visa arrangements for entry into Thailand to promote future co-operation, particularly in the tourism sector.
During the meeting, Mr. Pabriks and Ms. Pinthong discussed prospects for future development of bilateral relations between the two countries, and potential co-operation as part of the ASEM (The Asia-Europe Meeting) and the EU-ASEAN (The Association of Southeast Asian Nations) dialogues.
