Ilves to pay a visit to Finland on the navy ship

TALLINN - Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and his wife, Evelin Ilves, will go to Finland on a state visit on March 14, using a navy ship.
After arrival in Helsinki on board the Estonian navy ship Admiral Pitka, an official reception ceremony and meeting with Finnish President Tarja Halonen will be held, president's office reported.
Meanwhile, spokespeople for the General Staff said that according to available information no Estonian president before has gone on an official visit abroad on a navy ship.
Ilves is also scheduled to have meetings with the Finnish prime minister, speaker of the parliament and the mayor of Helsinki. He will also read a lecture at Helsinki University.
