Lithuanian political parties have spent 6.5 million litas for municipal elections

VILNIUS - 24 political parties that participated in municipal elections held in Lithuania on Sunday [Feb. 25] have spent 6.5 million litas (1.9 million euros) for agitation campaigns.
However, according to data of Central Electoral Committee (CEC), the parties have not spent all the money received for campaigning - they spent 6 million 499 thousand litas from 8 million litas received.
The National Farmers' Union that earned 141 mandates spent the most. It has received 1,321,000 litas and spent 1,278,000 litas.
Other parties did not exceed the amount of one million litas.
